October 1945
Shoichi Sugawara established Toa Graphite Industry Co., Ltd.
Began sales of Graphite for castings and materials for casting.
March 1951
Renamed to Toho Graphite Industry Co., Ltd., and established a factory in Katsushika-ku, Tokyo.
Continued both of refining and processing of Graphite.
April 1953
Renamed to Toho Graphite Industry Co., Ltd., and established a factory in Katsushika-ku, Tokyo.
Continued both of refining and processing of Graphite.
October 1953
Acquired the factory at the time of dissolution of Toho Graphite Co., Ltd.
Recontinued refining and processing of Graphite.
April 1954
Renamed company name to Fuji Graphite Works Co., Ltd.
April 1954
Relocated Head office to Jimbocho, Chiyoda-ku.
December 1964
Sold Kameari factory due to dust pollution
At the same time, relocated factory to Gyoda city, Saitama.
April 1965
Relocated the Head office to Setagaya-ku, Tokyo.
Established a sales warehouse to expand product inventory.

Kenji Sugawara became president.
February 1998
Closed Saitama factory, OEM-contracted with Nichiden Carbon Co., Ltd.

Takeshi Sugawara became president.
April 2015
Established Sagamihara factory. (Expandable Graphite classifying, analyzing factory)

Established Qingdao Office.
April 2017
Acquired East Japan Carbon Co., Ltd. (Former Nichiden Carbon Co., Ltd.) through M & A. (a subsidiary company)

Established Kanda Sales Office.

Started joint development with a university. (Expandable Graphite)

Closed Sagamihara Factory in order to expand the factory and moved to 26 Koseki, Hiwadamachi, Koriyama, Fukushima.

Opened a lab in a university.

Established a joint company “MEGA FUJI GRAPHITE CO., LTD.” with Megachem (Thailand) Public Company Limited. (Thailand subsidiary) Capital 35,000,000 Bath.
